Léna Gauthier, DEC, M.Mus., B.Th.
Léna Gauthier completed a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance at the Université de Montréal after studying piano, voice, and music pedagogy at the Université Laval and the Royal Conservatory of Music. She holds a Bachelor of Theology, summa cum laude, from Faith Theological Seminary and Bible College.
Winner of the Debut Young Concert Artists Competition, semi-finalist for the Joseph-Rouleau Award, and national finalist in her category in the Canadian Music Competition, Léna has appeared as soloist with various orchestras and ensembles in the Greater Toronto Area. Her operatic performances include Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande, and Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Léna has been a part of the Christian Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) productions since 2011, holding the roles of the Diva and Mary in the Crazy Christmas Extravaganza, and the role of Mother Mary for the Toronto Passion Play since 2014.
Léna has taught students of all ages and levels since 1987. She was an affiliated teacher with the Extension de l’Ecole de Musique de l’Université Laval (1989-1994) and on faculty as Vocal Professor at Canada Christian College (2007-2010). She also founded the Worship Training Centre, an educational program dedicated to equip worship teams and leaders in the areas of theology of worship, musical training and coaching, and ministry preparation. The Léna Gauthier Christian Music Academy is currently offering classes in partnership with the Christian Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) in Etobicoke.
Léna’s ministry includes leading worship, teaching the Word of God, conducting worship seminars and workshops, songwriting, and performing as a professional singer and pianist for various events. Léna and her husband, Vincent, are the proud parents of two miracle children, David and Marie.
